Philosopher's Wine

The Greek poet Alcaeus coined the phrase 'in vino veritas' - in wine is truth. The wine he was speaking of was 'private vintage' wine that each man made himself from grapes he grew and nourished and lovingly cultivated on his own vines: the wine he would proudly present to his most discerning friends and distinguished guests: the wine he would submit for competitions - worthy of representing him and his family to the world: the wine identified by those distinctive formulas and recipes that are passed down from generation to generation.

Adavere means truth, and each bottle is capped with a label representing a private vintage. However philosophical you may become under its emboldening spell, the truth is in the wine.
