Sometimes a Strange Place

Tonight I’m in a very strange place
I’ve never been before
What might I find in the closet,
Or under the bed on the floor?

What might be there in the corner
Where shadows all seem to convene?
What surprises await
When it gets really late
And I wake someplace I’ve never been?

Today has been a very strange day
And everything’s up in the air
And nobody seems
To be thinking of me
And I wonder if anyone cares?

But my Knightlyte is here
And he’s ready
My friend ‘til the end of the night
To settle these unsettled feelings
And put all those shadows to flight.
